Snowdonia Attractions

High-quality Christmas shopping, scrumptious food and drink and a blockbuster drive-in cinema experience. Nikki Jones tells us about a few of the treats on offer at the Surf Snowdonia Christmas Market this year.

Following a successful first outing last year, we’re bringing our Christmas Market back to Surf Snowdonia for another outing. Taking place 9-10 December right next to our massive surf lagoon, the most festive and feel-good market in the Conwy Valley brings together some of the region’s best artisans and producers for unique Christmas gift shopping. There’ll be dozens of stalls selling original gifts, crafts, hand-made furniture, clothing, jewellery and festive decorations that you won’t find on the high street.

It’s free to enter and fun for all the family. If you’re looking for that perfect one-of-a-kind Christmas gift, this is the place for you. Of course, you can always pick up some surf-related goodies in our onsite shop too.

Father Christmas will be giving out reindeer food for children to leave out for Rudolph on Christmas Eve from his very own surf-side grotto, with children’s arts and craft sessions as well as party fun and games sessions running all day. Little ones will also be able to enjoy a festive bounce and scramble around in the soft play shack, which will be open until 6pm.

As well as the usual seasonal foodie treats like mince pies and mulled wine, we’ll have regional producers and breweries adding a real local flavour to the festive proceedings.

There will be a pop-up pub along with acoustic music sessions – the perfect place for shoppers to relax and soak up the atmosphere over a glass or two of good cheer. Our surf-side deli and cafe bar will be open all day to offer a tasty menu of delicious hand-made pizzas and burgers. We’re expecting it to be pretty popular, so booking is essential for anyone who wants an evening table.

There’s nothing more festive than a good Christmas movie, we’re also hosting our brilliant drive-in cinema experience over the weekend of 9-10 December. Roll up for screenings of Christmas classics Elf, Home Alone, Frozen and Love Actually. Tickets for the drive-in cinema are £15 per car for one film and £25 per car for two films. Parking and entry to the market is free, with stalls open each day from 2.30 - 8pm and the party continuing in the bar until 11pm. It all adds up to an unmissable Christmas celebration.
