Trefriw Woollen Mills

Visitors are welcome to take a self guided tour of our mill museum where we manufacture traditional Welsh tapestry bedspreads, travelling rugs and tweeds from the raw wool using machinery which is over 50 years old.

The water drive turbine which generates our electricity can be viewed all year within shop hours.

Weaving can be viewed mid February to mid December (Monday to Friday except Bank Holidays) and additional machinery such as carding engines, spinning mules and warping mill can be viewed Easter – October (Monday – Friday except Bank Holidays).

Our pure wool products are available in our shop together with bought in knitwear and sheepskin goods.
